Conway coach Brian “Salty” Longing hadn’t seen his team play for four complete quarters in a game until Friday night.

In a game where it seemed like the word “revenge” was on the minds of several people, including the Y107 radio crew, the Wampus Cats (18-6, 6-3 6A Central) didn’t need to come back like they had been so accustomed to doing in a 79-62 win over the Little Rock Central Tigers (14-10, 4-8 6A Central).

On Jan. 18, Central halted a nine-game Conway winning streak that dated back to Nov. 24.

The Tigers handed the Wampus Cats their first 6A Central Conference loss after starting conference play on a four-game winning streak.

But, on Friday, Conway played a full four quarters that Longing had been wanting, which was met with him saying “absolutely” when being asked if his team played four quarters.
