After the first week of conference action, Faulkner County teams featured a slight amount of movement.

The highest would be Conway moving up to the No. 2 spot in the overall poll after handedly beat Fort Smith Southside 45-19 in Fort Smith. However, with a matchup against No. 1 North Little Rock at home this week, a number of things can occur for the Wampus Cats in the polls.

As for the rest of the county, Greenbrier received two votes to be put in the top five for 5A after beating Huntsville 42-20 in Huntsville.

The Panthers will face preseason top five Morrilton, who has just one win on the season at home Friday.

Mayflower maintained its place as the No. 4 team in 3A after the Eagles beat Danville 42-20.

As for Conway Christian, it is still on the outside looking in on the 2A poll after decidedly beating Poyen 42-12 in the first 5-2A Conference game of the season.

The team does have 12 votes and is trailing Hampton by 10 votes.
