Bentonville West eliminated Conway 10-4 in the first round of the 7A State Tournament Thursday in Fayetteville.

Bentonville West captured the lead in the first inning.

Conway knotted the game up at two in the bottom of the first inning. Conway scored two runs when Holly Stewart homered with two outs in the first inning.

Bentonville West took the lead for good with three runs in the third inning. In the third Hallie Wacaser homered off of Shelby Reed, driving in one run and Karlie Stafford doubled off of Reed, driving in two runs.

Bentonville West scored three runs in the fifth inning. The Wolverine's big inning was driven by a triple by Jazmine Dodd and a single by Emily Roberson.

Conway had six hits in the game. Stewart, Tremere Harris, and Lindsey Williams each collected multiple hits for Conway.
